Judgment of the harlot

Revelation 17:15-18, Judgment of the harlot, Pastor Moonsoo Son, Wednesday, March 20, 2024

15 And the angel said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot is sitting, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.” 16 But these ten horns and the beast, which you saw, hate the harlot, and they destroy her and make her naked, and eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God gave them a will to do his own will, to accomplish one purpose, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the word of God was fulfilled. 18 And the woman whom you saw is a great city, ruling over the kings of the earth. (Revelation 17:15-18)

The current era is one in which prostitutes are active. It is a world where obscenity rules over people, groups, nations, tongues, and languages that operate all over the world. When I search the Internet, I often see sexually suggestive advertisements, become interested, click them, waste time, and have a hard time washing them off because my thoughts and feelings get dirty. We must face the strategies of those who hold the power of the air and follow the Holy Spirit to become overcomers.

However, in the end, the adulteress is judged and receives the humiliation of being burned by the beast on her side (verse 16). I too must come to my senses, stop following the adulterous woman who will be judged, and live a life following Jesus, the Lamb who will gain final victory. Go for it!

Revelation 17:15-18, Judgment of the harlot, Pastor Moonsoo Son, Friday, March 22, 2024

9 Here is the will of wisdom: the seven heads are the seven mountains on which the woman sits. 10 And the seven kings: five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet arrived; but when he comes, he will remain only a little while. 11 The beast that was, but is now gone. is the eighth king, one of the seven, and he will go away into destruction. 12 The ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but who will be given authority for a time as kings over the beasts. 13 They have one purpose and have their own power and authority. and gave it to the beast (Revelation 17:9-13)

23 You saw that iron and clay were mixed together; they will be mixed with other nations, but they will not harmonize with one another, just as iron and clay do not harmonize together. 44 In the days of these kings, the God of heaven established a kingdom. It will never be destroyed, nor will its sovereignty be transferred to another people; but it will strike down all these kingdoms and destroy them, and they will stand forever (Daniel 2:23-24).

23 And the one who served him said, “The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom on earth, unlike any other kingdom, which will devour the whole world and trample it to pieces. 24 The ten horns will be ten kings who will rise from that kingdom, and another will rise after him, who was the first. and will subdue three kings (Daniel 7:23-24)

You can find out what the ten horns in verse 15 are by looking at the Book of Revelation and the Book of Daniel. Revelation 7:9 states, “One was, and the other did not come,” and the “one” here is the Roman Empire, the power that dominated the world at the time the Book of Revelation was written. Looking at verse 12, “The ten horns you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom,” we can see that the “other” in verse 9 is the ten horns. In Daniel 7:24, it says, “The ten horns are ten kings who will rise from that kingdom,” and the countries that were established after Rome fell are called Europe. Daniel 2:44 also refers to this era as “the era of many kings,” and the ten kings can be seen as ten kings, but it can be inferred that they refer to Europe by referring to several kings. In Revelation 7:11, the eighth king is introduced. The seventh king belongs to Europe, and in verse 13, “they,” that is, Europe, gives their power and authority to the eighth king, the beast, so the eighth king is the unification of Europe. You can guess that he is a king.

  1. Egypt
  2. Assyria (Assyria)
  3. Babylon (Babylonia)
  4. Media, Persia (Media, Persia)
  5. Greek
  6. Rome
  7. Europe
  8. King of European integration

We have organized the seven heads and the numbers from seven to eight in the Book of Revelation. This era is the era of Europe, and once a unified king from Europe appears, there will be no more era in the world. The world is coming to an end and I think I’m being too complacent. Redeem the time, for the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16). Let us keep these words in mind and be zealous in the work of the Lord!
